The Fourth Metadata and Semantics Research Conference (MTSR 2010) aims at becoming the main event for researchers in the area of metadata and semantics with an inter-disciplinary focus. The conference welcomes submissions from any disciplinary domain in which meta-descriptions of digital resources are used, defined or standardized (e.g. biology, agriculture, medicine, etc.).

The event becomes annual instead of biannual this year responding the demand of researchers and the increasing quality of submissions received in past editions.
MTSR 2009 proceedings have been published in Vol.46 of the CCIS Series.

Proceedings will be published in the Springer's CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) Series
